Today, we're highlighting Lauren Jones, Research Associate at the University of Maryland and a recent graduate of the University of Chicago. Lauren's passion for sociology, social psychology, and human behavior informs her work to create meaningful learning experiences that encourage students to think critically about history, justice, and their role in shaping the future.
Reflecting on the journey, Lauren shared:
"The Alabama Civil Rights Journey reminded me that everyone has the opportunity to make a difference. We as a people have had an innate resilience our whole lives. Although it has served us well, it is truly the fortitude and strength of community that has—and will continue to—sustain us."
