College Park, Md. — Maryland Today recently recognized faculty and staff accomplishments in its “Accolades: Faculty and Staff Awards and Honors” roundup, including the achievements of Honorable Judge Alexander Williams, Jr., Executive Director of the Judge Alexander Williams, Jr. Center for Education, Justice and Ethics.

Judge Williams was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the National Black Prosecutors Association in recognition of his distinguished career and service to the legal community. He made history as Prince George’s County’s first African American State’s Attorney before being appointed to serve as a U.S. District Court Judge. Today, through his leadership at the Judge AW Center, he continues to advance education, justice, and ethics while mentoring the next generation of leaders.

This prestigious award affirms Judge Williams’ enduring legacy as a trailblazer whose lifelong dedication to justice and equity has had a transformative impact both in Maryland and nationwide.
