The Judge Alexander Williams, Jr. Center proudly congratulates our esteemed Board Member, Professor Michael Pastor, on his appointment as the inaugural Dean for Technology Law Programs at New York Law School (NYLS).

Professor Pastor has long been a distinguished leader at the intersection of law, technology, and innovation, and his new role at NYLS reflects a career dedicated to advancing critical issues such as privacy, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and data governance. His visionary leadership will drive the development of the School’s new integrated Data and AI Law Project and strengthen student engagement in technology and privacy law education.

Throughout his career, Dean Pastor has demonstrated a deep commitment to justice, innovation, and public service. Prior to his appointment, he served as New York City’s chief technology lawyer, providing strategic legal guidance on technology policy, digital privacy, and innovation initiatives. At NYLS, he has also held leadership roles with the Innovation Center for Law and Technology and the James Tricarico Jr. Institute for the Business of Law and In-House Counsel, shaping the next generation of technology law professionals.
