Today, the Judge Alexander Williams, Jr. Center for Education, Justice, and Ethics welcomed a distinguished delegation of Latin American human rights advocates through the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). This group of 17 leaders—including human rights activists, government officials, NGO representatives, academics, and journalists—visited from across Latin America to discuss impactful strategies for advancing human rights across the Americas.
As Maryland’s exclusive IVLP partner, the World Trade Center Institute (WTCI) brought this group to Baltimore for an in-depth exchange. During our meeting, the Judge AW Center shared insights on restorative social justice initiatives, including P.S. 103 and Social Justice Bootcamp, which focus on empowering vulnerable youth, promoting leadership, and reducing systemic inequities in communities impacted by social and economic disparities.
We’re honored to connect and foster collaborative solutions to shared challenges across borders.
