Valerie D. Jones has served as the center’s Administrative Assistant since 2018. After serving as office manager and legal assistant in several of Washington, DC’s law firms, Valerie continued her legal journey when she joined the judge while he served on the bench for the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.  She officially left the court to join the Judge when he established and founded the Judge Alexander Williams, Jr. Center for Education, Justice and Ethics, Inc., a nonprofit policy center which is a part of the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences at the University of Maryland, College Park campus.

Valerie is married with two sons, eight grandsons and one granddaughter.  Valerie is a former ordained deacon, majored in biblical studies and is a Maryland Notary.
